Google Earth recently updated the images for the KAUST area, with images from August 3,2009. These show all the KAUST buildings, roads, seaside details etc. Large-scale versions of these maps are here. In the FILES area of this site you will also find .MAP files corresponding to these map images that can be used in programs like OziExplorer to give a Calibrated map with Lat/Long values, and the ability to set GPS waypoints, etc. Viewing these maps: When you click on the links below, different browsers may behave differently:
- FireFox: Will display a (+) cursor. Click for larger, then scroll around. Click again for smaller. If you position the cursor and click on an area, it will zoom in there.
- Internet Explorer: Look in lower right for ICON that will expand display (then scroll around), click ICON again to unzoom.
